For a 5 star hotel, Grand Dorsett Subang was a real disappointment in the restaurant services.
Being a new prestige card member, we went to the Terrazza for lunch and dinner at different days and the food and service were not up to the expectation. For paying 60++ for lunch there were not much spread and the food were cold and stale.
The workers collect the dirty plates and cups and placed on the table where the coffee and tea pots are brewing and they never asked the quests whether they want coffee and there were no fruit juices or seafood dishes.
Last Thursday 15 September 2011, a friend and family went there for dinner and it seems there were no chicken dishes even and mostly hot and spicy stuff that the children could not eat. For the price of 98++? I could get very good spread of food at Crown Plaza KL Planters Inn for that price of lunch and dinner and with wine.
The HR and management should check out other hotels and improved!
Dear Ms. Mary Sea,
With further reference to our recent telephone conversation, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to share with us such constructive feedback. Obviously, we will be addressing this with our F&B team to improve our service and food quality standards. Also, kindly be informed that we have a new GM, Mr. Leo Kuscher who has just joined us 3 months ago and these are some of the areas that we are focusing on for new varieties and improvement on our buffet spread.
I am also pleased to know that you enjoyed the buffet served at our sister property in Dorsett Regency Hotel Kuala Lumpur and I am sure to pass on your regards to the management team there.
As discussed, kindly notify me on your next trip to Grand Dorsett Subang Hotel for afternoon tea and let’s discuss on how you can maximize the value of your membership package. Have a pleasant week ahead and looking forward to be meeting you soon.
